The Action Network: WNBA Player Props for Friday (9/8/2023)

The Action Network

The run continues! As a result of Courtney Vandersloot and NaLyssa Smith kindly getting their overs on Tuesday, we’ve hit 16 of our last 21 player props, ladies and gentlemen. And today is the last time I’m doing this until the playoffs, so you know what the goal is — end on a high note.

Here are tonight’s props, and after this, I’ll talk to y’all during the playoffs. Good luck!

Dream vs.

Mystics

Natasha Cloud, Over 5.5 Assists (-125)

Natasha Cloud, one of my favorite players in the league, tore up the Phoenix Mercury for 20 points and 10 assists on Tuesday evening. For tonight, I’m only focusing on those assists.

She’s gone over 5.5 dimes in three of her last five games, and the only two misses were at five each. She’s been living around this prop for several games, and really for much of the season.

The Mystics have been up and down, and every time it feels like they’re about to win a run of games, they drop one or two, but they’ll be playing to end the season on a high to get into the playoffs with momentum and improve their positioning.

Fever vs.

Sun

Aliyah Boston, Over 8.5 Rebounds (-106)

Spread Fever -9.5

It’s “Trap or Trend” time, y’all.

Admittedly tough match-up against the Connecticut Sun frontcourt, but Aliyah Boston has been in a great rhythm.
Boston’s pulled down at least nine boards all but twice in her last 11 games. The Sun can’t move up or down in the standings, so we’ll see how long they’ll leave their A team out there. Hopefully not long, for the sake of this bet.

But Boston’s been boarding well enough to bet this regardless.

Storm vs.

Wings

Ezi Magbegor, Over 7.5 Rebounds (-115)

Ezi Magbegor is in a great rebounding rhythm, and has generally been effective this season, one that’s about to end before the post-season. Magbegor will face the Dallas Wings tonight and is sitting at 7.5 boards.

We’re going over tonight: She’s hit eight or more in four of five games, and she’s gotten to nine and 12 against the Wings this season. This isn’t a gimme, but it’s good value at -115, considering the run she’s been on.
